2003 Windsor Point Luau

Fun! Fun! Fun! Well, for the first Windsor Point neighborhood block party, this will go down in history as a huge success! To recap the events that took place, here is what we did:

  • Pig Roast Using Sean Perry's back yard, and Uncle Tai's ingenuity, we brought a little authenticity to the luau.
  • Guests of Honor Our local firemen stopped by to say hello. They allowed us to tour their rig and then instigated a friendly water fight the children.
  • Balloon Toss, Hula Hoop, & Face Painting We had some little folks that were just dying to show off their hip action in our hula hoop contest. Our finalists managed to clear the entire width of the street in the balloon toss. And, we had some pretty creative artwork on our youth's arms and faces courtesy of our young artists in the face-painting booth.
  • Tiki Bash Our little ones knocked the stuffing out of the Tiki Piñata.
  • Cutting it Loose Hey if you want a great sound system, don't buy surround sound, buy a Sanger!

We truly hope that new friendships are developing and newly discovered spirits are sparking in us all. It was truly a pleasure seeing so many bright new faces. We hope that many more family functions like this transpire over the years. Having spoken with adjacent communities, it has been discovered that Windsor Point is incredibly unique. Family values and community are dear to us. We find pleasure in interaction. Perhaps this is a rarity and that we are all truly blessed.

Our residents are truly some of the most remarkable people. We definitely had many families that jumped right in to help make this party a huge success! Thank you for your contributions and your delicious side dishes. We hope that you all enjoyed yourself and that you all look forward to next year's luau.

One additional note, a minor disclaimer if you will, the "Jungle Juice" did have a little alcohol in it. For some of you that were unaware of this, we apologize and we will promptly dispose of any incriminating photos that might have revealed a little more of yourselves than you were prepared to divulge.
